Greetings from the Founder

Hello everyone. My name is Eric Wei from Taiwan. I run a skill matching platform called "timelyhero". The platform gives people around the world the opportunity to teach what they're good at and learn new skills.


My motivation for starting my own business comes from my experience in Japan. When I was looking for a job in Japan, which I love, I experienced some difficulties, such as not being able to pass an interview due to a lack of skills. However, I was able to get hired as a project manager for supply chain management at Amazon Japan. Here, I was also involved in the Kindle business, helping to advance the digitization of books. I worked at Amazon for 10 years and at Google for three years, where I oversaw the merchandising of Google Play Movies, TV, Books, and Audiobooks across Asia Pacific.


After that, I gained experience in building a ride-hailing app platform at China's DiDi Chuxing (DiDi) and launching the food delivery service foodpanda Japanese subsidiary at Germany's Delivery Hero. I was keenly aware of the lack of infrastructure. Therefore, I established Dimes, Inc. in 2021 and began developing a skill matching platform.


timelyhero provides a place for people around the world to learn and share skills. We aim to be a platform that is accessible to everyone, from those who aspire to become global market leaders to those in socially vulnerable positions.


The origin of this project is based on the belief that "anyone can become someone's hero at any time." At timelyhero, you can teach people all over the world in your native language and overcome language barriers with video conferencing and AI-powered translation.


Our goal is to help change the social fabric of the world. Even if we are not a large company, we aim to change society for the better by gaining the goodwill and cooperation of everyone and supporting and learning from each other online.
